DESCRIPTION
CT 502 is a fast evaporating, thin film lubricant or “vanishing oil” that is particularly useful in the drawing, forming, and roll forming of light gauge aluminum, steel, copper, brass, and aluminized and galvanized steel.

CT 502 consists of two phases: (1) a solvent carrier and (2) a lubricating phase. The product is transparent and crystal clear “as received” and is formulated for use “as received,” particularly where elimination of after-cleaning is considered desirable or expedient.

APPLICATION
CT 502 is normally applied by spray, but can also be applied by roller coat, brush, or dip. The product is recommended for the forming of light gauge aluminized, galvanized, enameled, or lacquered parts. It is also suitable as a rubber mold release agent. Additionally, CT 502 is used as a transparent, non-tacky lubricant for nylon rollers in the drape and curtain industry and the cleaning and lubricating of metal and plastics stamping dies prior to internal, on-the-shelf interim storage.

BENEFITS
• High level of lubricity for forming operation
• Excellent wetting and penetrating properties
• Transparent, crystal clear, and odorless
• No residual film — 100% volatile

APPROVALS
• Not compliant with California SCAQMD Rule 1144
