CT 2 A is a solvent based water displacing barium free rust preventive specially formulated to leave a light imperceptible residual film. CT 2 A will displace free standing water and provides short to medium term indoor protection.

APPLICATION
CT 2 A is used as received and may be applied by brush, dip, or spray application at room temperature. Where water displacement is of primary importance, the dip tank should be equipped with a bottom drain for removing accumulated water. A false bottom tank is desirable to prevent parts from being dipped through rust preventive into water layer below.

CT LFRP is a water soluble, volatile rust preventive that provides short-term, indoor rust protection to ferrous surfaces. CT LFRP can be used in final stage rinse water for washer applications to eliminate flash rust that can occur when water alone is used to rinse with. CT LFRP is also compatible in a wide range of water hardness and will maintain a clear dilution which makes it an ideal choice for leak detection test baths in which visual clarity is critical.

CT LFRP forms a nearly imperceptible film on machine parts for excellent corrosion protection without forming a sticky residue. CT LFRP deposits a thin indiscernible film that when applied and handled properly, will give excellent inside rust protection on ferrous surfaces with the following added advantages:

APPLICATION
CT LFRP may be used in spray washers, dip tanks, rinse tanks, and ultrasonic or vibratory systems. CT LFRP may also be used in leak detection tanks in which fluid clarity is critical. CT LFRP water based volatile corrosion inhibitor is intended to be mixed with water at dilution ranges from 1% to 4%.

DESCRIPTION
RPA 500 is a water dilutable corrosion inhibitor based on the select volatility of amine chemistries. RPA 500 is recommended for applications that require short-term (1-3 months) to long-term (12-16 months) indoor protection of cast iron and steel alloys. RPA 500 contains no Diethanolamine or Nitrites.

RPA 500 is very low foaming and is an effective rust inhibitor at low concentrations. It is completely soluble in water and may be used as an in-process rust inhibitor. Due to the product’s solubility, you can tailor the product’s concentration to meet your protection requirements. RPA 500 forms a nearly imperceptible film on machine parts for excellent corrosion protection without forming a sticky residue. It is also compatible in a wide range of water hardness. The clear dilution makes it an ideal choice for leak test baths.

APPLICATION
RPA 500 can be applied to ferrous parts by immersion, spray, or flow coat. Initially, a 5% concentration of RPA 500 should be added to the mixed coolant tank. Then adjust the concentration to provide the desired level of protection. RPA 500 can also be used as a standalone corrosion inhibitor. A concentration of 10-15% will provide indoor storage protection for 6-12 months. It is desirable to dry the parts as quickly as possible after treating with RPA 500 to increase the length of corrosion protection. This can be achieved from the blow off after applying in the last stage of a conventional washer.

DESCRIPTION
VCI Oil is a special rust and corrosion preventative for ferrous metal surfaces in so-called “closed systems” such as engines, transmissions, fuel tanks, hydraulic cylinders, gear housings, and steel drums. The duration of vapor phase protection provided by VCI Oil depends on the ability to prevent the escape of the volatile inhibitors. Where complete sealing of the closed system is achieved, protection of almost infinite duration can be expected. In many cases, long term protection is not a requirement and complete sealing is not necessary as long as reasonable efforts are made to cover openings and block excessive loss of vapor.

APPLICATION
VCI Oil should be sprayed for the most complete coverage where possible.

COMPATIBILITY WITH FUELS AND OILS
VCI Oil is compatible with petrol, diesel, fuel oils, and most lubricants; therefore, there is generally no need to remove VCI Oil when equipment is put into service. This both saves time and allows equipment to be available for instant use, clearly an advantage in the case of such items as military vehicles, rescue equipment, standby generators, seasonal equipment (including marine), etc. Note: Some synthetic oils, especially those based on poly glycols, may not be compatible.

TOXICITY VCI Oil is basically composed of petroleum distillate residues which are considered non-toxic. The product contains a relatively small amount of a volatile substance which may be irritating to eyes, skin, and mucous membranes. Avoid prolonged exposure to the vapors.

STABILITY VCI Oil is unaffected by ambient temperatures and remains stable (and effective) indefinitely as long as kept in a vapor-tight container.

EFFECT ON NON-METALLIC MATERIALS (Used full strength) VCI Oil has little to no effect on rubber, painted surfaces, or plastics. Should a question arise, however, because of the wide variance in the composition of these materials, immerse the specimen in a container of VCI Oil and maintain at 130°F (55°C) in an oven for 72 hours. Examine the specimen for visible signs of change.

BENEFITS
VCI Oil is often used to protect sheet metal stampings, spare parts, etc. in sealed packing boxes or polyethylene bags. VCI Oil is distinguished from conventional preservative oils because it provides both vapor phase and contact protection. VCI Oil equally protects surfaces it coats and other surfaces within the system from which VCI Oil has drained away during prolonged storage or shipment. Volatile corrosion inhibitors diffuse throughout the void in the system and form an invisible protective coating effective even in the presence of moisture vapor or condensation.

VCI Oil also combines excellent lubricating properties with effective contact rust preventing properties. It is particularly effective in protecting machines and ferrous components while in transit or in temporary storage. It is an outstanding water displacing, non-staining rust preventive that will not emulsify, even in the presence of alkali. VCI Oil quickly separates water displaced from metal surfaces after machining operations or alkali cleaning.

DESCRIPTION
Providing the high performance of conventional solvent/oil based rust preventatives without the flash/flame, safety and housekeeping liabilities associated with them. WeRP 10T is a low VOC, non-toxic, lower melt point wax emulsion which deposits a soft greasy amber film when cured. When liquid, the product is nonflammable and can easily be cleaned with detergent and hot water. The thixotropic nature of the product minimizes dripping as well as a uniform film build. When fully cured the grease-like film exhibits excellent high humidity and salt spray protection. As such, WeRP 10T can be used in applying a final preservative coating to production parts for storage or shipment. WeRP 10T is formulated with a multi-metal package to inhibit corrosion on yellow metals and prevents magnetite corrosion due to stacking parts. Optimal coverage is as received in a dip tank, brushed, flow coating or sprayed using an airless spray gun. The lower melt point wax ensures minimal build up and hard crusting at the air-liquid interface. The greasy film can be easily removed with a hot 5-10% diluted industrial grade cleaner.

APPLICATION
Maximum performance of WeRP 10T can be achieved only when the metal surfaces are clean, free of rust, oil and mill scale. The metal substrate should be at a temperature of 50° to 95°F (10° to 35°C) at the time of product application. WeRP 10T is formulated to be used as supplied. The product can be thinned with water, however, be advised that doing so will reduce the film build and as such will reduce the protective property performance. Please contact Chemtool Inc. before thinning the product. Ensure uniform consistency prior to use. SHELF LIFE IS 8 MONTHS. DO NOT FREEZE. Store WeRP 10T at temperatures 50° to 95°F. Mild agitation is recommended prior to use. Continued agitation is generally not required. Keep a lid on the container when not in use. WeRP 10T can be removed from fabrics by normal dry cleaning procedures.

The CT 5 A will neutralize fingerprints and provides excellent water displacing characteristics while preventing the formation of black stains when parts are stored in contact with each other.

APPLICATION
CT 5 A is used as received and may be applied by brush, dip, or spray application at room temperature. Normally a single tank is adequate for dipping operations. However, if parts are extremely wet or dirty and where carry-over is great, a two-tank system will produce the best results. Where water displacement is of primary importance, the dip tank should be equipped with a bottom drain for removing accumulated water. A false-bottom tank is desirable to prevent parts from being dipped through rust preventive into water layer below. Aged films of CT 5 A are easily removed with alkaline cleaners, vapor degreasing, or wiping with mineral spirits.

WeRP 6 is formulated with a multi-metal package to inhibit corrosion on yellow metals and to prevent magnetite corrosion due to stacking parts. Optimal coverage is as received in a dip tank, flow coating, or when brushed or sprayed using an airless or pneumatic spray gun. WeRP 6 is formulated with an optimal blend of preservatives to extend shelf life. TransStore SCST 30 is a high flash point solvent type corrosion inhibitor designed to provide a translucent, dry, durable coating. TransStore SCST 30 provides long term indoor storage protection and short to long-term outdoor protection on sheet steel and other ferrous parts. The coating is extremely durable and resilient in a variety of harsh environments and can withstand unprotected, outdoor environments (rain impingement) for storage of parts. This product cures completely in 24 to 48 hours (depending on application environment) and can be handled prior to complete cure. 

APPLICATION
TransStore SCST 30 is designed primarily for indoor or short-term outdoor protection only. TransStore SCST 30 may be applied by brushing, spraying, or dipping. Maximum performance of TransStore SCST 30 can be achieved only when the metal surfaces are clean, free of rust, oil, and mill scale. The metal substrate should be at a temperature of 50° to 95°F (10° to 35°C) at the time of product application. TransStore SCST 30 is formulated to be used as supplied. DO NOT THIN TransStore SCST 30. Incorrect thinning will compromise film build, dry time, and coverage. Ensure uniform consistency prior to use.

Enviro-Armor C-Blue is a petroleum based, thixotropic rust preventive coating which provides excellent protection of parts in harsh environments. The thixotropic chemistry provides a fluid consistency during agitation, which allows for easier application and transitions through a self-healing phase to form a set coating on the newly protected part. VCI-F Oil is a vapor phase corrosion inhibitor and flushing fluid, which should be used to protect internal tanks from corrosion, flush tanks to disperse debris and offer protection for the external surfaces of parts. It contains less than 15 ppm sulfur and is compatible with fuel, lubricating and hydraulic oils. VCI-F Oil contains a special low pour point synthetic ester contact inhibitor blend, which will not varnish, harden or react with cleaner residues left in systems. The volatile corrosion inhibitor blend will protect the head space in “closed systems” such as: engines, transmissions, hydraulic tanks and cylinders, gear housings, fuel tanks and steel drums. The duration of the vapor phase protection provided depends on how well the tank is sealed. Protection for several years can be achieved if the tank is hermetically sealed or bagged with LDPE (>0.125mm thick) plastic and sealed. For incompletely sealed systems periodic endoscope inspection and possible re-application may be required.

Adequate protection is achieved at 0.2 to 0.8% volume of VCI-F liquid/volume of internal tank space. The tank should be as dry as possible before the addition of VCI-F Oil. To ensure optimal protection, it is preferred that the oil is fogged into the tank using a 360° pole gun atomizer or wand. After application, if possible, the tank should be rotated 360° from both axes for maximum wetting with at least 10 microns of oil film thickness per square centimeter. This is especially critical in the top portion of the inside of the tank since the top portion of the tank is the most critical area. Be aware of baffles within the tank which may inhibit adequate coverage. Using an endoscope to confirm that coverage of VCI-F Oil in the tank is adequate is a way to minimize potential corrosion issues. After coverage, the fuel can be added.

TOXICITY
VCI-F Oil is composed of highly refined petroleum distillate and a non-toxic synthetic ester blend. The product contains a relatively small amount of a volatile substance which may be irritating to eyes, skin and mucous membranes. Prolonged exposure to the vapors should be avoided. Consult the SDS for more details.

STABILITY
VCI-F Oil is unaffected by ambient temperatures and remains stable (and effective) indefinitely as long as kept indoors in a vapor-tight container. The material should always be placed in a closed container to minimize escape of the Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor.

EFFECT ON NON-METALLIC MATERIALS
VCI-F Oil has little to no effect on rubber, painted surfaces, or plastics. Should a question arise, however, because of the wide variance in the composition of these materials, immerse the specimen in a container of VCI-F Oil and maintain at 130°F (55°C) in an oven for 72 hours. Examine the specimen for visible signs of change.

DESCRIPTION
Transstore Clear RP is a clear, thin, hard shell rust preventative for steel, aluminum and cast iron parts. Transstore Clear RP is optimized for spray operations in low pressure air spray and airless spray units. Transstore Clear RP is a low VOC, air dry, direct to metal coating that dries to the touch within 60 minutes. Excellent corrosion protection is obtained with thin coatings of 2-3 mils dry film thickness. Final film is dry, smooth and free of bubbles. Transstore Clear RP is ideal for permanent or semi-permanent rust protection for parts that may be installed or used outdoors. Transstore Clear RP is non-hazardous and non-flammable.

APPLICATION
Transstore Clear RP is used and applied neat, do not mix with mineral spirits or other solvents. Mix product before using. Transstore Clear RP goes on white so the applicator can see visually the covered area. Using an even, steady spray painting technique, apply Transstore Clear RP to provide an even coating without runs or voids. Allow parts to dry before handling. 24 hour cure time may be needed on heavier parts to prevent blocking if parts are stacked together. Oven curing is not necessary. Tool and over spray clean-up is easily accomplished using Chemtool Hydrosolv 57. Soak paint gun spray nozzles overnight in a 20% solution of Hydrosolv 57 to remove built up Transstore Clear RP.
